Four Decades of Environmental Jurisprudence
For more than four decades, Advocate M.C. Mehta’s pioneering work has demonstrated the transformative role of law in advancing sustainability. The M.C. Mehta Centre for Education and Research carries this legacy forward by bringing the same commitment, rigour and informed decision-making to sustainability education and professional practice.
Continuing the work

Our purpose is to equip the professionals responsible for this work with more than theoretical knowledge. Our courses are designed to deepen understanding of relevant frameworks, strengthen professional judgement and develop the practical skills needed to navigate the complexity of ESG standards and apply sustainability principles effectively.

Shaping professionals who not only understand sustainability, but can implement it across regions, organisations and sectors
What participants say
Working across international development and labour issues, I was looking for a programme that recognised ESG extends beyond environmental reporting. MCMCER provided a balanced perspective on environmental, social and governance dimensions while connecting them to current global expectations.
Technology organisations make decisions based on evidence, data and prioritisation. I appreciated that MCMCER approached materiality in the same way. The course moved beyond theory and explained how to identify, assess and prioritise ESG issues using practical methodologies.
In retail and brand compliance, legal frameworks are shifting rapidly toward mandatory ESG reporting and anti-greenwashing standards. The programme provided a comprehensive breakdown of UK SDR, TCFD and CSRD mandates, enabling our legal team to integrate sustainability metrics into corporate disclosures.
